A Fashion Blogger’s Crisp Colorful Fall Wedding

When a sassy, creative fashion blogger gets married, you know it’s going to be fun, and Lynzy of Sparkling Footsteps did not disappoint. Her and Ryan’s wedding was chock-full of glam fall details, like bright orange and yellow blooms, turquoise bridesmaid dresses, vintage brass candelabras, a colorful paper lantern ceiling install, and lots of lawn games. And we love that fashion savvy as she is, Lynzy added gorgeous sheer organza sleeves to the sweetheart bodice of her full-skirted Watters wedding gown. But the best part of this story has nothing to do with the décor or the dress: This sweet couple wanted to say a prayer before the ceremony but they didn’t want to see each other until Lynzy walked down the aisle, so Ryan sported an orange bandana blind-fold as they held hands in prayer outside the church.

Emily Riggs Ophelia

A colorful wedding gown is definitely a unique choice and it takes a certain type of bride to take the plunge, but the jewel tones in the Emily Riggs collection make our knees go weak. The Amethyst tulle of her Ophelia is something otherworldly, paired with two layers of Italian crepe silk satin and a beautiful French floral lace bodice with fluttery fairy princess sleeves.

Romantic Outdoor Wedding Reception

We love an opulent ballroom at a classic venue but don’t be afraid to think outside the box and discuss outdoor reception options with your on-site coordinator. The property may have the perfect garden or patio area where you could totally wow your guests by hosting dinner under the stars, with romantic draping and crystal chandeliers of course.

Marsala & Fig

Pair the Pantone Color of the Year with a dark and moody fig-infused purple and youve got yourself a match made in wedding color heaven. Take a fig and cabbage salad with pomegranate seeds, a handful of dark pink spray roses, and a pair of sassy burgundy Stuart Weitzman pumps, and you've paired two hues that speak volumns. Add a splash of rose gold and you'll knock your guest's socks off.

Ivory & Lavender Spring Wedding in Salem, Massachusetts

On a gorgeous afternoon in May, Angela and Rob said “I do” at the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem, Massachusetts. The day was drenched in sunshine and the sweet shades of blush, lavender, and plum that Angela chose for their décor. Her bridesmaids wore long, chiffon dresses in varying shades of the color scheme, and the results were amazing. Angela’s delicate allure lace sheath wedding gown and overflowing garden bouquet were the perfect pairing for the spring celebration, which continued at the Hellenic Center with dinner and lots of dancing.

Rustic, Romantic White & Green

Keep your wedding romantic, rustic, and sweetly simple with a natural white and green color scheme. From olive to evergreen, mix shades of this hue effortlessly throughout your florals. Green garland is the perfect accent for the chair backs, to cascade down staircase railings, and over the arch of your ceremony altar. A sprig of rosemary in your signature cocktails and an elegant flower crown of ivy will drive this theme home.

Elise Hameau's Iris

Elise Harneau’s 2015 bridal collection is chock-full of grace, style, and bohemian beauty. Her innovative designs have been taking the industry by storm since her first debut in Paris in 2012 and her Iris wedding gown is our absolute favorite. A mesmerizing mix of crepe silk, chiffon, lace, and delicate embroidery, the modest high neck gives way to a raised, striped bodice and lace skirt, while the unexpected open back features an intricate floral embroidery.
