Lowndes Grove Staircase

In the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, surrounded by 14 acres of beautiful oak groves and river views is the enchanting Lowndes Grove Plantation. This beautiful venue offers a magical one-of-a-kind setting within its Lowcountry lawn. Although the outside of Lowndes Grove is magical, we are swooning over the spiral staircase inside the historic plantation’s main house. This venue will have you and your guests living in a fairy tale.

Spiced Pear Bourbon Cocktail

Nothing beats cocktail hour, but oftentimes fruity cocktails are pushed away, while some only drink them. This spiced pear bourbon cocktail may be the solution to a picky drinking crowd. Combining this subtle sweet pear flavor with the spice and kick of ginger and bourbon in one delicious cocktail is appealing to many drinkers. Cheers!

Makes one cocktail

1 1/2 ounces bourbon
1 1/2 ounces pear purée (recipe below)
1/4 ounce ginger liqueur
1/4 ounce agave nectar
1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon allspice dram
Soda water to taste
2–3 dashes Hella Bitters Aromatic Bitters (from the Craft Your Own Bitters Kit)
Freshly cut thyme or sage sprigs for garnish

In a mixing tin or cocktail shaker, add the bourbon, pear purée, ginger liqueur, agave nectar, lemon juice, and allspice dram.

Fill with ice, shake well, and strain into a cocktail glass, filled with fresh ice.

Add soda to taste, and give two to three shakes of Hella Bitters Aromatic Bitters.

Gently smack the fresh herbs to release their aromatics, and place them in the finished cocktail.

For the pear purée:
Peel, core, and coarsely chop three pears. Purée the chopped pears and two ounces of lemon juice in a blender until smooth. Strain and press the pear mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or chinois, discarding the remaining solids. This mixture yields enough to make four to five cocktails.

A photo backdrop is a beautiful addition for a creative couple to create memories on their big day. We are loving this light panel look combed with gorgeous greenery with pops of red accent flowers. By adding a picture-perfect backdrop, the photographs from your wedding will have an added charm unique to your special day.

Floral Ice Cubes

The key to a Pinterest-perfect bridal shower is in the details. An ice bucket to keep champagne and other beverages chilled is a detail that can be overlooked and easlily lack style. We are loving this effortless element that can take your bridal shower to the next level. All you need is an ice tray and some spray roses, and you'll be impressing guests. A little Mumm Napa rosé won't hurt either.

Red Moon Over Manhattan Signature Cocktail

This time of year, we're always on the hunt for a cocktail to get cozy with, and this one from Sugar & Charm is a perfect twist on a true classic. This recipe mixes a little red wine into a classic Manhattan topped with some gourmet cherries. We dig it.

Red Moon Over Manhattan Cocktail Recipe

2 ounces red wine

1/2 ounce bourbon

1/2 ounce simple syrup

1 large round ice sphere

3 gourmet maraschino cherries

Shake all of the ingredients together with ice for 20 seconds. Rub orange peel around the rim of the glass. Add in the ice sphere, and strain the cocktail over the ice. Scoop one cherry to place inside the drink, and add two more on a twig or cocktail stirrer to garnish the glass. Enjoy this new classic!
